Raymond Wilkinson’s second-half goal helped Ballinderry hold off Latton in Sunday’s AIB Ulster Club SFC clash.
Conleith Gilligan hit four early points as Ballinderry moved into a 0-5 to 0-1 lead but three Bernard O’Brien points helped Latton level by half-time.
However, Latton suffered a blow before the break when Barry McCabe was sent off after an off-the-ball incident.
Wilkinson’s goal came three minutes after the restart and Gilligan finished with six points for the winners.
One of Gilligan’s first-half scores did have an element of controversy as it appeared to be a wide.
Ballinderry’s win was not without its costs as Derry county player Michael McIver was forced off in the first half because of injury.
The Derry club’s victory sets up a semi-final meeting with Cavan Gaels on 16 November.
