There was a sensational result in the Derry SFC semi-final on Sunday last, 30th of September when reigning champions Ballinderry were defeated by a Paddy Bradley inspired Glenullin side on a scoreline of 1-13 to 0-8. This win sees the Glenullin back in a county senior football final for the first time since 1985, and on this performance they will be very hard to beat. The Glenullin side dominated this semi-final clash from start to finish and with Rory Boylan and Neal Mullan in outstanding form in the midfield sector the foundation was laid for their success. The Glenullin side started the game in whirlwind fashion and after seven minutes play they were ahead by 1-4 apiece. To the credit of the Ballinderry side they fought back strongly in the second quarter and at the break they were very much in the game trailing by 1-4 to 0-4.
