Ballinderry maintained their upper hand over their loughshore rivals Loup with a comfortable 9-point win on Sunday but it wasn’t all plain sailing.
Against a stiff breeze, Loup battled gamely in the first half and were locked at 0-03 apiece with 20 minutes gone.
But two Conleith Gilligan frees, one from Raymond Wilkinson and two from Enda Muldoon in the last ten minutes gave the hosts a 0-08 to 0-04 interval lead.
Ballinderry imposed themselves physically after the break and scored freely, with substitute Ryan McGee-han running onto a fisted pass from James Bateson and scoring the only goal of the game five minutes from time.
